Keith Duffy and Bryan McFadden have joined their not inconsiderable forces to create the duo Boyzlife.

In the UK alone, Westlife sold 11.1 million albums and 6.8 million singles, while Boyzone sold in excess of 13 million records.

Believe it or not, it's only been six years since the last Westlife album, and only three years since the last Boyzone album, but one member from each boyband have joined up for a forthcoming tour.

Following in the footsteps of McBusted (McFly and Busted) as well as NKOTBSB (New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys), at the moment the supergroup has fully formed, but it is expected to build it's ranks to more than just Duffy and McFadden in the not-too-distant future.

In a press release, Duffy stated: "Brian and I have been talking about this for a while so it’s really exciting to finally be able to reveal Boyzlife. We can’t wait to get out on the road and reconnect with our fans, taking a trip down memory lane."

McFadden added: "Keith and I have always been great friends and we’ve wanted to work together for quite a while now. With the amount of stories between us we knew it would make for a great live show, mixed in with a few songs!"

The duo will head-off on a UK tour starting in October. The tour will consist of 12 dates in total, taking place in various Hilton hotels around the country, with tickets on sale from 9am on March 8.

No word yet on additional Irish dates.
