It was expected that the Book of Evidence would be served on the Lithuanian national - who has an address at Ardmoniel Heights, Killorglin.

However, the court heard that more time is needed and he will appear again in court on September 25th.

He's charged with the double murder of Jolana Lubiene and her daughter Enrika (8) in Killorglin on June 16th.

Aurimas Andruska was originally charged with the murder of Jolanta, and the unlawful killing of Enrika, however that charge was upgraded to murder in early July at Killarney District Court.

Mr Andruska was to undergo psychiatric assessment while in custody.

He was the second suspect to be questioned over the killings. The first, a man in his 40s, was questioned and released without charge (pending a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions). He was held on suspicion of withholding information.

Jolanta and Enrika were laid to rest in Lithuania on July 8th, after their bodies were flown home.
