A beheaded piglet has been left outside an animal sanctuary in County Offaly.
My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR) said the dead pig was found by one of their volunteers and posted a picture of it, obscured by a heart, on its Twitter/X account.
“It’s head was no where to be found,” they said.

“We’re guessing that this was done as an act of cruelty towards MLHR.
“If you passed the MoyValley area towards Clonard this morning and have a dash cam, please check if you recorded anything.
“To the cruel people who did this, intentionally to MLHR or not, it’s disgusting & cruel.”
