The Australia government has warned of a possible plunge in their economy.

Australian Treasurer Wayne Swan says the government's bottom line could be hit hard due to commodity price falls.

Swan said government revenues had taken an unprecendented dip as prices for its key mining products had dropped against the price of the Australian dollar.
