More than 360 million euro in parking charges are collected each year by local authorities and the private industry in Ireland.

That's just one of the findings of a survey which will be revealed at a European parking conference which gets underway in Dublin this morning.

Parking charges and clampers have been blamed in recent years for the decline in high street shoppers.
