Gardaí in Dublin are investigating an armed robbery which took place in Clondalkin this morning.
Three men have since been arrested.
Three men, armed with an imitation firearm and knives entered a shop on the Tower Road in Clondalkin at about and threatened staff.
They stole a quantity of cigarettes and cash and made their getaway on foot.
Uniformed Gardaí arrested the three men a short time later. They recovered the imitation firearm and two knives, along with all of the cash and cigarettes which were stolen from the shop.
A car, which is believed to have been stolen earlier in the Lucan area, was also located.
The men, who are all aged in their 20s, are currently detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, at Clondalkin Garda Station.
