Anyone without a ticket is being advised not to travel to the New Year's Festival events in Dublin this evening.
Three main events are taking place in the city at Custom House Quay - a special light show along the Liffey; a countdown concert featuring Gavin James; and an early evening version of the Liffey light show.
With around 25,000 people set to attend the events, organisers say all three are now sold out.
In a statement, they said: "Gardaí and organisers have appealed to local and international visitors along with residents living in the greater Dublin area not to travel to Custom House Quay without a ticket.
"A Garda ticket checkpoint cordon and traffic management plan are now in operation on all approach routes. Please do not travel to event without a ticket and avoid the area unless attending one of the all-ticketed events."
The midnight celebrations are set to be broadcast on RTÉ One.
