The AA are calling for windscreen discs in cars to be scrapped.
They say that the government should bring in an automatic number-plate recognition system for the enforcement of insurance, tax and NCT.
The AA say that the paper discs currently used are "obsolete, wasteful and an invitation to fraud."

They argue that the discs are no value in preventing crime and that they're adding at least €40 to insurance bills for motorists.
The paper tax disc was abolished in the UK in October of last year and Conor Faughnan from the AA says it should be done here as well.
