Gardai say the driver of the car was fatally injured when his car left the road and crashed into a field.

The road where the collision occured is closed pending an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.

Diversions are in place from Stranorlar via The Cross and Killygordon when travelling from Stranorlar towards Lifford and from Killygordon via the Cross to tranorlar/Ballybofey.
