A man has died after crashing into a fence in Glencullen in Co Dublin this evening.

The 57-year-old man was the sole occupant of the car when he collided with the fence at around 7.45pm on the Red House Road.

He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road is currently closed in order to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
