The Tullamore Show is expected to draw large crowds to County Offaly later.
Organisers expect around 60,000 people to turn up for the day, which is billed as 'the ultimate country lifestyle event'.
The show also has a serious side and Agri Aware - the Irish farming and agri-food educational body - say they will use it to raise awareness about farmers subsidies available under Europe's Common Agricultural Policy.
The Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) provides subsidies for farmers across Europe.
Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney is to launch the organisation's campaign - "Be Agri Aware – Put your thinking CAP on!" - at the show this afternoon.
