A significant haul of counterfeit 'Ugg' boots worth €500,000 has been seized during a raid at a warehouse in Cork.

They were found in Hollyhill, Knocknaheeny on the north side of the city.

Two men aged in their 30s and 50s were arrested at the scene.

They are being detained at Gurranabraher garda station.

A garda source described the haul as "extremely significant", and described the boots as being good copies.
