Israeli warplanes have carried out 30 air strikes over Gaza today, killing five Palestinians.
Hamas militants, meanwhile, have fired six rockets into Israel.
Fighting resumed yesterday after a three-day ceasefire came to an end.
Over 5,000 people attended a demonstration in Dublin this afternoon to show their solidarity with the people of Gaza.
Among them was former Ireland rugby international, Trevor Hogan.
“It’s really sad, it’s really outrageous to see that Israel has re-launched its campaign But it’s hard not to feel hope. I know it might sound crazy, but there’s so much hope here in Ireland and the support around the world.
“And the people of gaza are a huge inspiration, with how they’re resisting and how they’re still managing to survive amidst a huge onslaught,” Hogan said.
