A man was killed after he was knocked down by a car in Co Wicklow at 10.30pm last night.

The 31-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been removed to the mortuary at Loughlinstown Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out.

The accident happened on the M11 at Roscath, south of Wicklow Town.
