There are reports that 3 people have been found shot dead in a car on the French island of Corsica.
The bodies were found in a village in the northern part of the island.
The region has suffered 3 decades of low-level violence by separatists opposed to French rule.
The bodies were discovered in a village near the town of Corte.
It comes as a French judge and prosecutor are to travel to England this week as part of the inquiry into the deaths of a British-Iraqi family gunned down in the Alps.
It is aimed at boosting cooperation between the two countries’ authorities and to monitor progress made by police in Britain.
Police are continuing to search the Al-Hilli family home in Surrey and have gained access to a safe discovered yesterday.
The contents of that safe have not been disclosed.
