Pharmacy group Boots has announced plans for an expansion in Dublin.

It will see the opening of a new store in Clondalkin and a major extension of its existing Swords outlet.

The plan will see 26 new full and part-time jobs.

The company says this is due to strong performance and to accommodate increasing numbers of customers.

The store in Clondalkin will open on Wednesday August 15th and will create 14 new full time and part time jobs.

While the extension at Swords in the Pavilions Shopping Centre will see 12 new positions bringing the total number of employees there to 62.

Debbie Smith is Managing Director with Boots Ireland.

“We are delighted to be expanding in the greater Dublin area…underlining our commitment to long term investment in Ireland” she said.

“We are very pleased to be creating jobs and providing customers with extensive product ranges and excellence in pharmacy goods and services” she added.
