13 Poor Clare sisters from Nun"s Island in Galway city are urging people to pray.

The plea comes after the nuns have written and published a book called Calm the Soul: A book of simple wisdom and prayer. 

Page four of the Irish Independent quotes Sr. Colette, Mother Abbess: 

"Our life revolves around prayer and a large part of it is intercession for those who come to us or write to us for prayers and, also, for a wider world. 

"We are conscious that when people are troubled, they find prayer difficult, as we all do at times.  And sometimes people think that what they want isn"t even worthy of a prayer. We hope our book will be helpful."
