An 11-year-old girl has been hospitalised with serious injuries after a crash in west Dublin.

It happened at around 11:30 am yesterday morning on the Lower Lucan Road.

There were three people in the car at the time.

An 11-year-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The others in the car - a seven-year-old girl and a man in his 40s - received minor injuries.

The two children were sitting in the back of the car when the crash happened.
