You don’t have to stalk them on Social Media or wait outside the Newstalk studios any more - now there’s a website where you can arrange to get a video shout out from many celebrities… well, well-known people… for cash.
£10 will get you Ken Coombs, the Star Wars actor - $15 will get you Paris Themmen, the actor who played Mike TeeVee in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, £20 will get you one from the One and Only Chesney Hawkes, £25 will get you one from Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee and £60 will get you one from East 17 and $100 will get you one from the Hoff himself. Most expensive? DP & Jake the Snake Roberts for $150.
We’re told the celebrities may choose to give the proceeds they get to charity - the site itself takes a 10% cut of the fee - You enter any information that you want the celebrity to mention in the video message (e.g. Your name, hometown, hobby, birthday etc)
You pay for your video via Paypal or Debit/Credit card and wait for your video which could be a matter of days or weeks depending on the Celebrities' schedule.
Talking to someone online? More interested in what they look like than who they are? Then this is not the app for you. Talk Or Not allows users to reveal photos piece by piece when a conversation is mutually exchanged., so they person you messaged kind of has to like you for you before you reveal pictures of yourself.
TALK or NOT is a free anonymous social dating and messaging app that uses GPS and a simple search function to locate other users around you based on age, gender and location.
Simply browse and select a user to talk with. The goal is to engage the other user and create a conversation and go at your pace and direction.
All profile photos are hidden with only silhouettes, blue for males and pink for females, visible but after two initial messages are exchanged, every message after that will unlock a block slowly revealing who's on the other end.
Once someone decides to stop responding based on perhaps; foul language, or vagueness, no further blocks will be removed.
The more you talk the more you unlock!
According to TheJournal.ie there’s approximately 100 users from Ireland on the app already.
