Getting locked out is embarrassing. Getting locked out of the cockpit ... on a plane ... especially when you're the pilot is a tad more embarrassing!
The pilot on the Delta Airlines flight from Minneapolis to Las Vegas stood up in front of his passengers mid flight and explained that the first officer would be making an emergency landing because he had been locked out of the cockpit.
The door to the cockpit had malfunctioned and wouldn't open when he came back from a toilet break. The crew then had to make a distress call to McCarran International Airport.
When the co-pilot landed 'perfectly', the 168 passengers on board broke out into applause.
Curry Russell who recorded the video said to CNN the situation was 'pretty crazy' but 'pretty exciting'.
