Roller skating rinks are still operating all across the United States, though their popularity in recent years has plummeted, with closures happening every day. Once a hotbed of disco music and social justice, the old crumbling halls and dilapidated rinks have lost their glossy sheen. A photographer named Jim Young has visited the roller rinks to capture the dying days of an American institution.
