Boards.ie AMA - Ask Me Anything
If you’re curious about other people’s jobs, but a little too shy to ask - or don’t actually know who to ask, or if you’re considering a career change or a college course, here’s the forum for you. Ireland’s biggest discussion website has created a forum where you can ask professionals about their jobs.
So far they’ve interviewed midwives, car designers, gamblers, Insurance underwriters and more - and they’re looking for people who’d like to share what their job is like too!
You may have heard that there’s a great online sale or discount happening, but by the time you get to it, it’s over. Well, Irish based MyOffers.ie hopes to help you with that. Designed to save you money and make sure you don’t miss out on good bargains, MyOffers.ie helps Internet shoppers save money with online sale alerts and online discount coupons from leading Irish online retailers.
A really handy price comparison website for Ireland - looking for something and want to see if can get it cheaper somewhere else? Well, just use this to check what the cheapest price they can find is. Everything from blenders to tablets to TVs to bicycles and more.
You can set up lists of products that interest you and choose to get an alert notificiation when the price drops.
There’s also an app to help yu out and about - if you see something, get out your phone, start the PriceSpy app, scan the bar code or search by product name. Works on phones and tablets.

If you’re using Gmail for work, you’ll know how frustrating it is to try and keep on top of it and reach “Inbox Zero”. Well, ActiveInbox helps you with that. It turns your gmails into tasks or to dos - you can put dates and times of when to reply on them, you can categorise your gmail into useful segments and it allows you to - hopefully - never miss another one.
Google Translate
The future is here. FINALLY. Point your smartphone camera at street signs, notices and menus and have them translated for you instantly. You can also have someone speak into your phone and have Google Translate tell you what they’re saying in English (or the language of your choice). It’s early days but I can imagine lots and lots of people using this.
And you think you love your job? Have you seen the Supermarket Cow Dance?
A supermarket mascot, dressed as a cow, gets really into their dance and has what looks like a great time altogether. May we all love our jobs this much one day :)
