It’s not only humans who experience trauma, stress and even suicidal tendencies. Animals are just as  susceptible to mental health issues as humans.

Dr Laurel Braitman explores the topic of mental health and recovery in the animal kingdom in her book ‘Animal Madness: How Anxious Dogs, Compulsive Parrots, and Elephants in Recovery Help Us Understand Ourselves’
