A number of former government ministers claim the National Drugs Strategy is in danger of collapse. They believe the state has failed to work with community and voluntary sectors, as it promised to do so. Separately – research released earlier this week showed cocaine use in Ireland is back to Celtic Tiger levels – has been normalised – and is as likely to be find in rural villages as urban centres.
