Fake History on the small and big screen - from Royals in The Crown to Bloody Sunday in the film Michael Collins, as today marks the centenary of Bloody Sunday, which is regarded as one of the pivotal moments in the Irish War of Independence.

The events of that day were captured in the 1996 ‘Michael Collins’ movie starring Liam Neeson and one of the scenes that people recall is the football match at Croke Park where British forces opened fire on civilians.
