Gardaí have uncovered a “sophisticated cannabis growing operation” at a house in County Louth.

The grow-house was discovered after Gardaí carried out a search of a house on the outskirts of Dundalk this afternoon.

Investigators recovered around 130 cannabis plants as well as a quantity of cannabis herb.

Gardaí said the haul has an estimated street value of €150,000.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene.
