Fine Gael is planning to fight the general election on its handling of the economy, believing its record in recent years will be its strongest selling point to voters.
The Parliamentary Party gathering ahead of the return of the Dáil later this month concludes in Adare today.
Director of Elections Frances Fitzgerald says they will put up a fight for every one of their current 68 seats.
Ms Fitzgerald says the message will be to the electorate that the coalition brought the economy back from the brink, and they can be trusted to adequately manage it in the future, therefore providing for an increase in public spending.
"We have effectively rescued the economy," she said.
"You have no public services unless you have a strong the economy. People want to see more services clearly but without a strong economy you cannot invest in services.
"We believe that the Fine Gael (and) Labour government has shown that it can manage the economy," she added.
