Diageo, Mars, and Jones Lang LaSalle have topped the list for the best places to work in Ireland. The annual Best Workplaces in Ireland survey has been published for 2013.
Firms are selected and ranked mostly on the basis of the confidential input from employees. Two-thirds of each workplace score comes from the results of the Trust Index Employee Survey. While up to one-third of the remaining marks are based on an assessment by Great Place to Work (GPTW) of a company-wide Culture Audit.
Great Place to Work says that it is not possible for any organisation to be included on any of their lists "unless a clear majority of their employees rate the company as a great place to work".
Both large and small organisations in the private and public sectors in all major industries are included in the study. These include healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, consumer product goods, professional services, technology, food service, hospitality, as well as the government, education and non-profit sectors.
