Greece's Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras has been called to an emergency meeting with leaders of the country's international creditors in Brussels today.

European Commission president - Jean-Claude Juncker, the head of the International Monetary Fund - Christine Lagarde, ECB President Mario Draghi and the head of the Eurogroup, Jeroen Dijsselbloem will all be in attendance.

These talks will be held on the sidelines of today’s meeting of eurozone finance ministers.

The Greek leader says that the ball is now in its creditors’ court - and that he is committed to finding a long-term solution for Greece’s debt problems - but he is not willing to place more of a burden on the country’s workers and pensioners.

The EU Commission’s competition authorities have raised concerns with IAG over some aspects of its €1.4 billion bid for Aer Lingus at a meeting attended by both companies in Brussels.

It is understood that the main concerns relate to competition for valuable Heathrow slots.

IAG has already made a commitment to the Irish government to retain the slots under Aer Lingus ownership to serve routes between Ireland and London for seven years.

The Commission has sought a ‘state of play meeting’ - this will give IAG the opportunity to address these concerns.

Michael Noonan has defended the hard stance which he has taken during Greece’s debt negotiations.

With election season looming - he was asked by Ruth Coppinger in the Dail if his main concern is to make sure that Greece doesn’t get a better deal than Ireland.

Opposition TD Paul Murphy also said that Mr Noonan had, "stabbed the Greek people in the chest and, in so doing, he stabbed the Irish people in the back."

The Minister said that he has “great sympathy” for the Greek people - and that he has been helpful in moving Greek officials towards the present position where “realistic negotiations” are taking place.

He added that leaks and spin have created confusion - and his only goal is to protect the Euro - and to ensure that Greece remains part of the single currency.

TV3’s owner Doughty Hanson has been known to be looking to sell the TV station for several months.

Citing ‘industry sources’ The Irish Independent reports that there is still a lot of work to be done on the deal - but Liberty Global is now the firm favourite to takeover the company.

Liberty Global is the parent company of UPC - which is one of the biggest providers of TV, phone and broadband services in Ireland.

Stephen Ross - the owner of the Miami Dolphins American football franchise - is teaming up with investors from Qatar in an attempt to take control of Formula One.

Ross’s RSE Ventures wants to buy 35.5 percent of the company which controls the sport.

Qatar Sports Investments, the group which owns the football club PSG is backing him.

This deal is not on the table yet, but The Financial Times reports that a formal offer is only weeks away.

A source close to the negotiations told the paper that commitments to grow the sport in the US and China will be central to this bid.
