Thousands of Irish drivers are due refunds from 123.ie after it mistakenly overcharged customers.

Some 8,000 people were charged more than they owed following a technical error related to vehicle history information.

This was confirmed to the Irish Examiner, the paper says that the average refund is €80 plus compensation of 5%.

Letters have been sent to the affected customers.

Jeremy Corbyn will say Labour is "overwhelmingly" in favour of Britain staying in the EU - although many argue the Labour leader himself is not.

Making his first major intervention in the referendum campaign, Mr Corbyn will point to serious "shortcomings" in Brussels and say he is "making the case for 'Remain and Reform' in Europe."

The Labour Leader has been criticised for mostly sitting out of the debate until now.

But he will say in a speech in central London: "The Labour Party is overwhelmingly for staying in, because we believe the European Union has brought investment, jobs and protection for workers, consumers and the environment, and offers the best chance of meeting the challenges we face in the 21st century."

Irish exporters are being warned that Sterling values will not automatically recover if the UK votes to stay in the European Union.

While uncertainty surrounding the vote has hurt the pound, other factors such as an expectation that the Bank of England will keep interest rates low, a massive current account deficit, and reduced growth forecasts for the UK have all added to the slump.

Pioneer Investments, who predicted the initial fall in value, say that a 'stay' vote will result in a bounce of no more than 4%.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has again defended himself after being caught up in the Panama Papers leak.

While he was at UEFA he's alleged to have signed a document with two Argentine men for the TV rights to the Champions League in South America - who then sold them on for greater value.

Both those men have since been accused of corruption.
