This workshop will give you a basic introduction and get you started with your first 3D printed object. For those with little to no experience with 3D printing and Computer Added Design (CAD) software.

Wednesday 16th - Introduction to Programming and Electronics: Raspberry Pi and Arduino - Dun Laoghaire 

Ever wanted to try your hand at programming a robot, controlling your house from your phone or simply flashing some lights? This workshop will give you a taste of how inputs and outputs on small computers such as the Raspberry Pi and Arduino, can be used to create smart solutions to everyday problems. Saturday 19th - Girls Hack Ireland: Longford Hack at 10am – 1pm

Longford Local Enterprise Office, Templemichael, Ballinalee Road, Co Longford

Girls Hack Ireland is a programme hosted by The Insight Centre for Data Analytics, funded by Science Foundation Ireland. The aim is to deliver a range of exciting, creative and supportive workshops to teenage girls aged 13–17.  

Workshops introduce science, technology, engineering and maths to those who haven’t much experience in the area with a special focus is on technology – teaching some coding as well as working with sensors and wearable technologies.

All girls aged under 16 must have a parent/guardian with them for the events. Parents are actively encouraged to get to grips with the material being taught, and parallel workshops will be run alongside the girls’ activities.
