Photo-sharing app, Instagram, have launched a new e-mail service called 'Highlights' in a bid to lure users back to the app. The e-mails will consist of some of the most liked content in a users feed that they might have missed.

According to TechCrunch, the main reason for the e-mails is to try and attract users who've fallen out of love with the app back into its arms. However, it isn't ruling out sending out 'best of' e-mails to those with lots of followers who might be struggling to keep up with the continuous content stream.

Instagram was acquired by Facebook for $1 billion in 2012, 2 years after it was created Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger.

Currently there is no way to sign up for the Highlights e-mail service yet, but if you do receive one from them consider yourself honored, or pestered.
