Three flights have been cancelled between Dublin and London this morning because of heavy fog.

A number of other flights have been hit by delays.

It is the third day of disruption for air passengers - a spokesperson for the Dublin Airport Authority says people should check with their airline before travelling.

A number of flights were cancelled at Dublin Airport yesterday, while at Heathrow airport in London 100 flights were cancelled yesterday.

London City, Luton, Gatwick and Manchester also affected.

Dublin Airport says in a statement: "Fog around London airports is impacting the flight schedule at Dublin Airport with delays of up to 30 minutes on some flights".

"Passengers are advised to check with their airline's website for the latest flight information regarding their particular flight before coming to Dublin Airport".
