If you're a coffee lover, then you simply must download BeanHunter onto your phone.

This app (iOS and Android) rates the coffee available in their local area. I stumbled upon it whilst in Syndey earlier this year. I happened to be travelling with a group of coffee snobs who would sooner go noncaffeinated than drink from one of the big coffee chains.  

The idea is very simple. You open the app, insert your location and read through the list of cafes in your area. These are ranked and rated by other coffee lovers. 

The Bald Barista, for example, rated 7.3 on the app, and it's possible to read through reviews and recommendations from other users. 

The app is free to download and has an impressive library of cafes stored on its database. This means you'll never be stuck for a good cup of coffee, no matter where you are.
