We're just over two weeks away from HTC's press conference in Barcelona on March 1st where they are set to announce their new flagship smartphone, the One M9.

The Taiwanese company revealed a net profit of over €14 million from Q4 of last year and are now ready to kick start the 2015 smartphone war with their early launch of the M9, otherwise known by the codename 'Hima'.

Unlike their California-based counterparts, Apple, HTC haven't been great at keeping a secret in the run up to their product launches. Last year saw numerous leaks reveal the design and specs of the M8 and this year it appears no different.

HTC may be about to announce two brand new flagship smartphones

According to serial leaker 'Upleaks' the One M9 will retain the same 5 inch full HD screen however it will be sped up quite a bit by the addition of the new Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB DDR4 RAM.

Sources claim that the phone will retain its wonderful Boomsound speakers and will ad an improved 20.7MP Main Camera with Dual LED Flash.

Most recently it's been reported that the Taiwanese firm will launch not one, but two handsets, following in the footsteps of Apple's 6 and 6 Plus release.

During production the M9 was known as Hima, however tech insider, Evan Blass, reports that there is another, larger smartphone being worked on known as the 'Hima Ace Plus'.

The rumoured phablet will come with a 5.5 inch screen, believed to be 2K, and will also have a fingerprint scanner front and centre below the screen, just like the recent iPhones.

The new renderings leaked this week show a much sleeker design reminiscent to that of their tablet, the Nexus 9. Both phones are shown to have Boomsound speakers and both see the front-facing camera move to the centre akin to last year's Desire Eye, a phone marketed strongly around selfies.

The launch of both phones, should there be two, still remains over a fortnight away and the company have been known to send out their devices in dummy shells to protect the identity of their final designs so these renderings may not be as accurate as they seem.
