400 new jobs have just been announced in eight companies. Most of the jobs are coming to Dublin - but Cork and Galway will also benefit.

100 of the jobs are being created in Dublin at N3 Results - a sales execution and digital marketing firm - in the next three to five years.

85 will be created as Sprout Social opens a second Dublin office. The social media management platform says the new positions support the company's existing base of customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

While SimpliVity is creating 70 of the new positions in Cork over a three year period, through establishing a service and support centre.

The firm says it also has the potential for future expansion.

Udemy is to hire 50 people over the next three years in Dublin, Boomerang Pharmaceutical is creating 25 jobs in the capital, SNP Communications is adding 25 jobs to its Dublin office, Perseus Telecom is to provide 25 new positions in Galway and HedgeGuard expects to hire 20 people over a three year period.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny and the Jobs Minister Richard Bruton have welcomed the announcements, which are supported by the Department of Jobs through IDA Ireland.
