Wreckage of the plane carrying missing footballer Emiliano Sala has been found in the English Channel.
The plane - which was carrying the footballer and pilot David Ibbotson - went missing on January 21st while flying from Nantes in France to Cardiff in Wales.
Air searches failed to find any sign of the aircraft, prompting search teams to start examining the seabed.
On Twitter, search team head David Mearns confirmed the families of the two men have now been informed the plane has been found.
He said: "Wreckage of the plane carrying Emiliano Sala and piloted by David Ibbotson was located early this morning by the FPV MORVEN.
"As agreed with the [Air Accidents Investigation Branch] they moved the GEO OCEAN III over the position we provided them to visually identify the plane by ROV."
The families of Emiliano Sala and David Ibbotson have been notified by Police. The AAIB will be making a statement tomorrow. Tonight our sole thoughts are with the families and friends of Emiliano and David. #EmilianoSalas #NoDejenDeBuscarAEmilianoSala

28-year-old Sala made Cardiff City club history when he was bought for a record fee of €20.4m on a three-and-a-half year deal from Nantes only days before the plane went missing.
