The National Wax Museum Plus say repairs are being undertaken on a waxwork of Pope John Paul II after it was damaged.
A spokesperson said the incident happened back in August, but is just now coming to light.
One of their staff members made the discovery while doing a daily check-up.

The waxwork was strewn across the floor of the 'Fr Ted' room in the museum, having been decapitated.
CCTV footage was inconclusive as the camera was pointed at the 'Fr Ted' wax figure at the time.

The museum says it hopes to have the waxwork back on display "very soon".
It is also reminding visitors to be careful when moving around the museum.
