WhatsApp is continuing to add new features to its offering. It appears that the latest addition is one which allows users to track their contacts in real time.
The feature, known as Live Location Tracking, has been reported by Android and iOS users in the BETA version of WhatsApp. This means users can make their current location visible to those in a group chat. It's a handy feature for those at gigs, matches or a night out.
The tracking capability can be limited for a particular period of time, with one, two and five minute options available.
It's thought that the feature will not be enabled by default, amid privacy fears. Users will have to manually opt-in to avail of it.
