It is believed he has been located in the UK, and is due to be reunited with his family today.

Gardaí this morning confirmed that Stephen had been located safe and well.

The news that he had made contact with his family was confirmed by Tipperary TDs Michael Lowry and Jackie Cahill.

Deputy Lowry said in a Facebook post: "The Cullinan family have asked that I let you know that Stephen has made contact with the family."

A number of appeals had been issued as part of efforts to trace Stephen's whereabouts.

His family had also conducted a leaflet drop in the capital in a bid to find out any more information.
