Three men have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary which happened in Co Tipperary earlier this month.
On May 7th, Gardaí received a report of a burglary at a house on Old Dublin Road, Roscrea.
They say a husband and wife were assaulted by two men, who broke into the house through a side window.
The man, who is in his 90s, was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, suffering from head injuries.
The woman - aged in her 80s - was not injured.
A 28-year-old man was arrested in Dublin yesterday in connection with the incident, and is being detained at a north Tipperary Garda station.
Two other men - aged 17 and 34 - were arrested today in the Dublin area.
They are both being held at north Tipperary Garda stations.
Gardaí say their investigations are continuing.
