The Defence Forces have made safe a suspicious device in Rush, County Dublin.
The Army Bomb Disposal Team was deployed to the scene shortly after 9.30am this morning following a request from An Garda Síochána.
A number of houses were evacuated to ensure the safety of the residents - but the scene was declared safe at 11.30am.

The device has been removed to a secure military location for further examination.
According to the Defence Forces, 'material of an evidential nature' will be given to gardaí to assist their investigation.
