Sony unveiled a new wearable and it's not a watch or bracelet. Xperia Ear is a small device that sits in the ear, helping the wearer work more efficiently.
The device looks like a small Bluetooth headset and has a wide range of functions. It can read out incoming texts, WhatsApp or Facebook messages and allow the user to initiate a response. This is done with a simple nod of the head and then dictating a message.
"It’s designed to bring a new way of communicating, without compromising on enjoying the world around you. It provides you with useful information such as your schedule, weather and the latest news to keep you up-to-date on the go. Powered by Sony Agent Technology; an adaptive platform, Xperia Ear responds to verbal commands, so you can ask it to make a call, perform an internet search, dictate a message or navigate to a certain location."
Xperia Ear starts shipping from mid-November 2016 - all pre-orders will receive a voucher for €50 discount on any smartphone purchased from the Xperia Store online.
Xperia Ear is available to pre-order, exclusively at the Xperia Store online for €199.
