Gardaí in Co Meath are investigating a shooting incident in Dunboyne last night.

At about 11.30pm last night shots were fired at two separate houses in the Woodview Housing estate in Dunboyne, Co Meath.

However nobody was injured in the incident.

A short time later, gardaí received a call out to Broadford in Co Kildare, where they arrested a man and a woman under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act - which usually involves firearms offences.

Gardaí are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.

The incident in Dunboyne comes less than two weeks after another shooting at a house in Dunboyne Castle estate.
