Gardaí say they have arrested a teenage boy in connection with the fatal stabbing of another teenager in the Tallaght area of Dublin yesterday.
17-year-old Reece Cullen was attacked at a house at Kilclare Crescent in Jobstown at around 3pm.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The scene is still sealed off this morning for forensic tests.
A 'male juvenile' was arrested shortly after 7am this morning in the Tallaght area, and is being held at Tallaght Garda Station.
Local Councillor Charlie O'Connor said: "The first thing we have to do is think about the family, and extend our sympathies."
He added that it is important for anyone with information to cooperate with Gardaí.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses who may have been in the Kilclare area this afternoon between 2.45pm and 3.30pm to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01-666-6000, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
