Hillary Clinton decisively beat Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in the first presidential debate, according to a poll carried out by ABC News/Washington Post.
53% of those polled felt Clinton won whereas only 18% sided with Trump. 54% felt Clinton got her facts right throughout the debate whereas only 29% said the same for Trump.

The second presidential debate is due to take place in Washington University in St. Louis on Sunday 9th October.
The first vice-presidential debate is due to take place four days prior at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.
