The New Year’s Festival (NYF) officially kicks off today with a host of events taking place across Dublin city.
These events include live music, walking tours, street displays as well as the New Year’s Festival staple known as Luminosity. This year The Customs House will be the building that is lit by a spectacular 3D light projection display.
Some of the highlights of the first day of the New Year’s Eve Festival include Ré with Tunes in the Church at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Bonzai at District 8 and The Counsel of Owls at St. Patrick’s Park.
The festival continues tomorrow with Sky Dance at the Customs House and the ever popular NYF music trails which sees a host of musicians playing in a range of different venues across the city.
It all culminates with the Countdown Concert on St Stephen’s Green which will see Walking on Cars and The Blizzards ring in the New Year. This will be followed by the New Year’s Day Concert fronted by The Dublin Gospel Choir on Sunday afternoon.
