Ireland has a new multi-millionaire after an Irish ticket scooped the €88.5m Euromillions jackpot on Tuesday.

But that winner - or winners - has yet to claim the prize.

The Irish ticket scooped the entire prize in last night's Europe-wide draw.

Details are still scant - even the outlet which sold the ticket has not yet been informed by Lotto headquarters.

In the meantime, you might want to check those numbers.

They are 1, 5, 7, 17 and 23. The Lucky Stars were 3 and 8.

This is the third-largest Euromillions prize won in Ireland.

The largest was Limerick woman Dolores McNamara, who won €115m, and the second highest was €94m which was sold in Dublin.

The National Lottery say it will reveal more details about this latest win shortly.

National Lottery CEO Dermot Griffin told the Pat Kenny Show he understands the rush to find out all the details.

"The first thing we tell them is to sign the back of the ticket and make contact with the National Lottery - so they can ring through to our claims area and naturally we'll guide them through the process from there.

"Because there's nine countries involved in the Euromillions, it will take until next week before all of the money is transferred from the other countries into Ireland.

"So we will be paying out the jackpot hopefully some time next week".
