A man in his late thirties has died following a fatal road traffic collision between a car and an articulated truck on the M1 last night.
The driver of the car was seriously injured in the collision, which occurred between junctions 13 and 14 at approximately 1.30 am.
He was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The male driver of the truck, in his mid sixties, was uninjured.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators at currently at scene, the section of the road is closed and local diversions are in place.
