Gardaí in Limerick have launched an investigation after a woman was found dead in the city.
The body of the deceased, named locally as Rose Hanrahan, was discovered at a house at New Road in Thomondgate at around 1.30pm today.

The 78-year old's death is being treated as suspicious, and gardaí have sealed off the scene.
A post-mortem is to be carried out, which will determine the course of the investigation.
The deputy state pathologist Dr Michael Curtis is expected at the scene tonight.
